BRW's Mission & Message

The Objectives of this organization shall be to promote an informed electorate through political education, to foster and encourage loyalty to the Republican Party and to the principles for which it stands.

With active involvement in Republican activities including support of local candidates, attendance at monthly educational meetings, charitable community participation including youth scholarships and other special events throughout the year we make a difference in our community while establishing life-long relationships locally, state-wide and nationally.

Our carefully selected speakers support the values of limited government, individual freedoms, fiscal  and personal responsibility and educate our members on current issues of rational government, sound economic policy and individual ways to make a difference.

Our President's Message

2010 is going to be an exciting and historical year for both Broomfield Republican Women and the Republican Party nationwide. We, as a club, will play a vital part in our local elections, many of which are on the national radar. History will be made.

My primary goal is to educate, both the community and our club members, and activate our group to make an impact on this election . We are a very influential and powerful group of women.

My foremost hope is to activate the power of our group. Our membership exploded in 2009 and we are now an army of active Republican women who can make a huge impact on our candidate’s campaigns. I hope is that each member will choose a candidate and find some way to participate in their campaign. Our board will be making a dedicated effort to bring as many of our candidates to our groups, to allow the members to meet the candidates personally and hear their positions. Getting to know and hear from each candidate, first hand, creates a personal dedication to help the candidate succeed.

Along the same lines, I would like to see our group expand our efforts in the area of education. We hope to complete the details of our scholarship program, begin taking applications and award our first award. Another project for our education committee is to coordinate a forum highlighting one of our races. We hope to break with tradition and remain active all year long. Again, we feel this is a historic year for Republicans. These are lofty goals for our education committee but I feel that our group is, more than ever, up to the task.

Of course, I am also interested in continuing to grow our membership. At the end of 2009, we began drawing a few unaffiliated people to our meetings to hear our Republican candidates speak. This illustrates the significant impact that we can have on our community. I hope to continue to draw the attention and interest of unaffiliated voters.

There are many other items of focus for 2010. We will continue to create our prize winning scrapbook, are redeveloping our BREW group, upgrading the information available on our website, coordinating calendars with other conservative groups in our area, grow our participation in our Relay For Life Team, once again create an exceptional basket for the event benefiting for Meals on Wheels, continue to add pounds and pounds of food to our FISH food bank and possibly even add another charity event. It sounds like an insurmountable goal, but it is attainable.

Accomplishing these goals in 2010 will illustrate to the community our passion, dedication and participation in our community, government and issues that affect our lives and the lives around us. I wish each and every one of you the healthiest and happiest new year and appreciate all of the efforts you make to make our club. We are one of the most outstanding groups in, not only the Colorado Federation of Republican Women, but National Federation of Republican Women. So let’s get busy!

All my best,

Michele Haedrich, President
